How Much Does it Cost to Race?

During this little project of ours, we are going to keep tabs on what everything costs, so that others who want to try and race on a budget can know what the potential outlays are.

So far we have purchased:

One ARDS Test – £350
One Mazda MX-5 (ready to go apart from a fire extinguisher check) – £5,500
One Towing Car – £1300
Insurance + tax for tow car – £500
One BJ Minno Max trailer – £800
Service kit for the car – £150
Tow equipment (plate, straps, etc.) – £100

Okay, so up until now our running total is £8,700. We are hoping that we can get everything in under our initial year budget of £17,500 and still remain competitive.
